INSTALL SIGNCUT (WINDOWS)
1. Start by downloading the installation file for SignCut. Once the download is complete, locate the file on your computer and run it.
2. First you will be presented with the License Agreement. Review it and continue by pressing I Agree.
3. In the next part of the installation you can choose where on your computer you want to install SignCut. There's usually no need to change this, and for the sake of compatibility with plug-ins we recommend you to leave it as is. Continue by pressing Install.
4. Now SignCut is installing. This might take a couple of minutes.
5. About half-way through the installation you will be asked if you want to install the layout software Inkscape. We recommend using either this software, Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW together with SignCut. Note that this installation takes a few minutes, so if you already have Inkscape installed or are in a hurry we recommend you to install it later.
6. The installation of SignCut will resume and be completed automatically. Continue by pressing Close.
7. Start SignCut by double clicking the icon. It will launch and you will be asked to enter your license number. Enter your license number and press OK.
8. The last step in this setup will be the Cutter dialog opening. Here you will choose the manufacturer and model of your cutter, the output device / port your cutter will be using and the correct baud rate.
If you don't know which output device / port to use, please follow these steps:
• Pull down the Output Device / Port list.
• Make a note of what choices you have and click OK to close the dialogue.
• Disconnect your cutter from the computer.
• Click the Cutter button and pull down the Output Device / Port list. One option should have disappeared, this is the port for your cutter. Click OK to close the dialogue.
• Connect your cutter again and make sure it's powered on.
• Click the Cutter button and pull down the Output Device / Port list and select the port that now should be back.
If you don't know which baud rate to use, please follow these steps:
• Check your cutting plotter for a setting in the display called Baud or BR and note what value it is set to.
• Enter the same value in SignCut's cutter dialogue.

The communication should now be correct. To make a test cut select the red layer in the SignCut logo by clicking the red button in the panel to the right. If there are more than one red layer, select the one that says SignCut.Now click the cut out icon represented by a pair of scissors and do a test cut.
